Are you a shopaholic?

 Have you heard / Did you hear of LinkedIn? It is a social networking site for professionals. It was launched in 2003 and is now uses mainly for professional networking.

The number of LinkIn users   is increasing /increases    very fast: two new members join the website every second. It now is having / has over 280 million users, and 40% of them have checked / check their profile every day. 

Professional nowadays use/have used the site to find jobs and business opportunities, and companies search for potential candidates. User can follow different companies and also see who already visited/has already visited their profile page.

Hemos redactado convocatorias para invitarte a participar, como ARTISTA, en 25 exposiciones colectivas internacionales. Tendrán lugar (durante 2015) en 25 ciudades distintas, de los siguientes 13 países: Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, EEUU, España, Francia, Japón, México, Portugal, Uruguay y Venezuela.

Se trata de una novedosa fórmula de intercambio cultural, creada con el objetivo de estimular nuestra creatividad artística y docente. Deseamos unirnos y dar visibilidad mundial al trabajo desarrollado por nuestro colectivo, docentes y estudiantes de enseñanzas artísticas. Pretendemos la inauguración simultánea de todas las exposiciones para celebrar la SEMANA DE LA EDUCACIÓN ARTÍSTICA (UNESCO, 4ª semana de MAYO)

Cada exposición tiene dos formatos: VIRTUAL y REAL. Proyecto desarrollado en clave 2.0, coste CERO para los participantes. Cada cuál envía sus imágenes por email o por correo postal a una determinada dirección. Allí se organiza una exposición virtual y su exposición REAL (dentro de las posibilidades de cada sede). 

¡PARTICIPA!: Te animo a revisar tu trabajo artístico (aunque sea poco debido a tus múltiples obligaciones docentes) y también a dedicar algún tiempo específicamente para ejercer como artista (realizando obras expresamente para cada convocatoria). Otra alternativa interesante es proponer el desarrollo de obras colectivas para ser realizadas en colaboración con tus estudiantes.

Ajedrez en las aulas: argumentos irrefutables

En un país donde es rarísimo que los partidos políticos coincidan en algo, cabe preguntarse qué tiene el ajedrez para lograrlo, y además en periodo de precampaña electoral. Hay muchas razones de peso, y con sólida base científica para explicar ese consenso. Y se pueden resumir en diez:

1. Desarrolla la inteligencia

No sólo la cognitiva, también la emocional, como indica un estudio de la Universidad de La Laguna (Tenerife) de 2012, publicado en español e inglés. Además desarrolla al menos cinco de las ocho inteligencias de Gardner: matemática, lingüística, espacial, intrapersonal e interpersonal (las otras tres son musical, corporal y naturalista).

2. Gimnasio de la mente

Hay suficientes indicios sólidos y estudios científicos para afirmar que la práctica frecuente del ajedrez retrasa el envejecimiento cerebral, y por tanto podría retrasar durante años el mal de Alzheimer. Es un excelente gimnasio mental.

3. Otras aplicaciones sociales

La lista de experiencias con éxito en diversos países (muchas de ellas en España) es larga: niños hiperactivos (TDAH), con autismo, síndrome de Ásperger, superdotados, síndrome de Down, cáncer infantil, talleres de desempleados, cárceles, reformatorios, rehabilitación de drogadictos….

4. Adaptado al siglo XXI

Es el único deporte que se puede practicar y enseñar por Internet.

5. Universal

La Federación Internacional (FIDE) cuenta con 182 países afiliados; sólo el fútbol y el atletismo tienen más.

6. Infraestructura de muy bajo coste

Basta con un tablero y unas piezas, o ni eso si se practica con una aplicación para ordenador o teléfono.

7. Buena imagen

Está ligado a la inteligencia.

8. Más de 15 siglos de historia

Su invención se remonta, como mínimo, al siglo V. El ajedrez moderno, con las reglas actuales, se inventó en España –muy probablemente en Valencia- a finales del siglo XV.

9. Personajes fascinantes

Esta cualidad y la anterior son recursos muy útiles para hacer más ameno y eficaz el trabajo de pedagogía y difusión de profesores y periodistas.

10. Conexiones fascinantes con la ciencia y el arte

Por ejemplo, el ajedrez, la música y las matemáticas son las actividades que producen más niños prodigio. Ninguna computadora puede jugar aún perfectamente al ajedrez –no lo harán hasta que existan las cuánticas- porque el número de partidas posibles (un uno seguido de 123 ceros) es superior al de átomos en el universo conocido (un uno seguido de 80 ceros).
